The debate over automated license plate readers is playing out differently across Southwest Virginia — from cameras being paused in Lynchburg, to a program halted in Roanoke, to a camera cable cut in Christiansburg.
According to the organization DeFlock, nearly every county in our viewing area of Southwest Virginia has at least one reported Flock device. All but five counties — Craig, Alleghany, Bath, Bland and Highland — have a reported device in the region.
