Shawsville, Va. (WDBJ) – A Norfolk Southern train blocked the entrance to the Shawsville neighborhood off Newtown Road for more than four hours Wednesday afternoon.
The train blocked the crossing from about 1:30 p.m. until just before 6 p.m., leaving drivers stranded on either side with nowhere to turn.
“You expect to go home and settle down and do something, and you get home and there’s a train stuck and you’re just like, well, what do I do now?” said Adam Bahnken, a resident.
