BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A proposed housing development in Bedford County is drawing mixed reactions from neighbors, with some welcoming the potential for new housing while others question whether the area’s roads and infrastructure can handle the growth.
Runk & Pratt is proposing about 168 single-family homes for residents ages 55 and older on property behind Hooper Road, across from Waymaker Church.
The proposal is expected to take several years to develop, but neighbors are already debating what the project could mean for the surrounding community.
