ROCKY MOUNT, Va. — Mable Pullen, 110, has been recognized as the oldest person in Virginia and honored by the town of Rocky Mount with a day in her name.
Pullen was born in 1916. At 110 years old, she has nine children, 32 grandchildren and more than 70 great-grandchildren.
“I tell people, my mom’s 110, they can’t believe it. They can’t believe it,” said William Pullen, her son.
