BOONES MILL, Va. (WDBJ) – A family-owned Boones Mill farm officially closed its doors after decades of serving the Roanoke Valley and beyond.
Woods Farm announced its closure, citing rising costs and fewer customers. This comes as net farm income fell 5.5% in 2025, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Owner Mark Woods’ grandparents opened the farm for business in the late 1940s. Since then, patrons have come in to purchase a variety of fresh produce, preserves, jams, and jellies.
