ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – The chance for rain will increase across the region on Wednesday. Rain should remain light, generally less than a tenth of an inch.
Rainfall intensity will increase for the end of the week, especially Thursday night into Friday. Flooding could be a concern for the southern Blue Ridge where more than two inches of rain is possible.
As rain returns, so will the warm air. Temperatures will again reach the 50s on Wednesday.
Warmer air is expected for the end of the week. A cold front passes through the region for the weekend which will drop temperatures slightly. Temperatures drop even more, returning to average, for the early part of next week.
