Living Colour Pays Tribute to WWE Superstar CM Punk

Living Colour, the band behind CM Punk’s iconic theme song ‘Cult of Personality,’ paid tribute to the injured WWE star at a recent concert. Lead singer Corey Glover sent a special message to Punk ahead of performing the hit song during the band’s January 31 concert in Roanoke, Virginia.

CM Punk, who suffered a torn triceps muscle during the Royal Rumble 2024 match, faces an extended recovery period, ruling him out of competition at WrestleMania 40. In light of his injury, Living Colour dedicated their performance of ‘Cult of Personality’ to Punk, expressing their well wishes for his speedy recovery.

Check out the tribute below:

“Cult of Personality” has been the theme song for former WWE Champion CM Punk for over a decade. He first introduced the theme to wrestling fans in 2011 when he returned to WWE on an episode of RAW. There, he confronted John Cena following Cena’s victory over Rey Mysterio to win the WWE Championship.

He continued to use the song during his AEW run and upon returning to WWE, he used the remastered version of the song. The band’s gesture resonated with fans, highlighting the impact of Punk’s presence in WWE and the significance of his theme song.
