Oklahoma State’s wide receiver depth continues to grow through the transfer portal.
The Cowboys picked up their latest portal commitment on Monday. Former Virginia Tech wide receiver Da’Wain Lofton announced on social media that he will play in Stillwater next season.
Lofton had offers from multiple other schools in the portal, including Boise State. The 5-foot-10, 189-pound receiver will look to have an increased role with OSU.
Lofton played the past three seasons with the Hokies and tallied 410 receiving yards. In 2023, he played in 13 games but saw limited action.
Lofton started only one game in his junior season. In his final season for the ACC school, he made six receptions for 58 yards.
Although he did not have a large role in 2023, he had a breakout season as a sophomore. In 2022, Lofton was Virginia Tech’s third-leading receiver.
With 22 catches for 254 yards, the Hokie shined in his second season. Lofton started all 11 games and scored two touchdowns.
That season was a step up after a promising freshman season. In 12 games, Lofton made seven receptions for 98 yards.
