Youth experiencing mental health issues on the rise

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – More children are experiencing mental health issues nationwide and here in our region. “We’ve seen an increase, especially post-pandemic, in mental health symptoms; behavioral issues have increased, aggression has increased, depressive episodes have increased,” said J. Lynn Winebarger, the program director of New River Valley Community Services school-based services.
