ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – After a record high number of homicides in Roanoke last year, the number of shootings in the city has gone down. That’s according to data from the police department comparing the first quarter of this year to the first quarter of 2023. There’s been a nearly 74% decrease in the number of shootings.
