Pinpoint Weather: Warming trend continues

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – Dry conditions are expected to return to the region on Thursday. Ahead of a cold front, warm temperatures are expected.

Ahead of a cold front that will bring cooler air for the weekend, temperatures will be well above average on Thursday, topping out in the 70s and 80s after starting in the 50s and 60s.

The severe weather potential will remain to our west on Thursday. For Friday, most of the severe weather threat is to our south, but a couple of stronger storms are possible in Southside.

Behind Friday’s cold front, temperatures will trend down. Temperatures will top out in the low 70s on Saturday and mid-60s on Sunday. Temperatures will remain in the 60s and 70s for the first half of next week. Rain chances are limited for the weekend and early next week.
