BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ/VDOE Release) – Candace Nichole Carrier, a career and technical education-agricultural education teacher at Montgomery County Public Schools’ Blacksburg High School, has been named the 2025 Virginia Regional Teacher of the Year (Region 6) by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). Carrier has been a teacher and a mentor for 20 years.
