Two arrested after 2-year-old found seriously injured

BOONES MILL, Va. (WDBJ) – Two people have been arrested for child abuse and neglect in the case of an injured 2-year-old. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in the 600 block of Paradise Acres Drive in Boones Mill about an unresponsive/unconscious 2-year-old. Deputies, along with paramedics and the Franklin County Department of Public Safety, found the child, who was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, including to the sheriff’s office.
