SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA, (WDBJ) – Virginia State Police continue to investigate five officer-involved shootings which have taken place in our hometowns in just the month of June. The first one happened on June 4 after a police chase in Montgomery County which was caught on video. The suspect, Jason Lee McDuffy, 44 of Beckley, WV, was shot and killed by law enforcement after allegedly showing a gun after he was stopped.
