Heavy rain will stay east of the valley

HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – An area of low pressure moved over North Carolina late Monday into today, dumping up to 18 inches of rain on parts of the state and leading to governor to declare a state of emergency for the state. The National Weather Service at Wilmington reported 18-inches of rain in 12-hours at one reporting station. What’s this storm mean for us in the Shenandoah Valley? Some much-needed rain, but not enough to cause any major flooding issues.
