American Legion Post #62 Smith Mountain Lake held Military Appreciation Day on Sept. 14th at Mitchell’s Point Marina, treating Army National Guard units #116 out of Bedford and the 229th Chemical Unit out of Rocky Mount and their families to a full day of comradery on and off the water, along with a variety of activities and plenty of food to go around for all those in attendance.
