1,000 K-12 Students to Attend Roanoke STEAM Day

Event to Bring Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math to Life for Local Students

WHAT: Virginia Tech Roanoke Center’s annual Roanoke STEAM Day , a dynamic, hands-on event where students can dive into the world of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) through interactive exhibits and demonstrations will be held Friday Nov 15th.

Roanoke STEAM Day provides an opportunity to explore engaging, STEAM-inspired activities in various locations across downtown Roanoke. Exhibits include high-tech demonstrations and engaging activities, providing great visual opportunities for media, with displays featuring everything from the WARE Lab and the Aerospace Engineering Design Lab to the Science Museum of Western Virginia.

The Roanoke Center leads the effort with support from Virginia Tech Carilion (VTC), Fralin Biomedical Research Institute (FBRI), Taubman Museum of Art, Science Museum of Western Virginia, Virginia Western Community College (VWCC), and Roanoke City Schools. The event is free and open to students in grades K-12.
