Roanoke family creates display to raise awareness of speeding problem

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A Roanoke family is using a creative display to get drivers to slow down in their neighborhood. It comes after a car crashed into a home on their block earlier in April.

John Black and his family have lived on Riverland Road for three years. He said speeding on the road has been a major safety concern over that time.

“We’ve lost a vehicle on the street, we’ve had multiple neighbors who lost pets on the street, and there are multiple families on this block alone that have kids that are constantly playing and running around out here. We don’t want to see one of them get lost,” said Black…
