ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — After a cold front passed through earlier this afternoon, rain has come to an end as cooler and drier air arrives. Northwesterly winds will be breezy throughout the night with gusts as high as 25 mph in some spots before calming down tomorrow afternoon. This brings in chilly morning lows into the 40s for most with wind chills in the 30s.
Skies will become mostly sunny tomorrow with a few passing high clouds with temperatures on the cool side in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Dry air remains in place on Monday with morning lows in the 40s and afternoon temperature in the 70s.
Temperatures warm back up above average reaching into the upper 70s to mid 80s by mid-week along with the next rain and storm chance.
A frontal system will be developing out west and will approach our area bringing the chance for a few showers and storms late Tuesday west of the Blue Ridge with areawide scattered rain and storms Wednesday through Friday.
The cold front passes through Friday afternoon which will dry things out by Saturday with temperatures falling back to the cool side in the 60s and 70s…
