Passing shower chances arrive for hometowns closer to the North Carolina state line today. Most hometowns will stay dry with seasonable high temperatures.
Multiple Days Of Widespread Rain
Our team of meteorologists has issued First Alert Weather Days for Monday and Tuesday. Closely monitor the weather as it may impact your plans.
A low pressure system over the south will draw up large amounts of moisture during the first half of the week. This slow-moving system has the potential to drop a prolonged, soaking rainfall. That rain may be enhanced by our mountains.
RAIN TIMING: Most data has rain moving in by sunrise Monday. Bands of rainfall will impact the region throughout the day. This means ALL commute times on Monday will be wet.
RAINFALL ESTIMATES: Many hometowns will see rain totals of two to four inches. Locally higher totals are likely, especially along and east of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
