FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – During two meetings this week, Franklin County’s Board of Supervisors will discuss a proposed update to the county’s comprehensive plan outlining what Franklin County will look like over the next 20 years.
The 2045 Comprehensive Plan will outline the future of land use in the county, as well as the future of growth and development. A big part of creating the plan was gathering public input over the last year. One key focus of the plan is to preserve the county’s rural areas and natural beauty.
