Woman hospitalized after shooting in Roanoke County, police say

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — The Roanoke County Police Department said they are investigating after a woman was shot earlier this month.

According to RCPD, their officers were dispatched to Bent Mountain Road on May 8 to respond to a call that a woman had been shot in the abdomen. Her boyfriend drove her to the Back Creek Fire and Rescue Station, police said. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

RCPD said the woman knows the man who shot her and that there is no threat to the public, but no more details behind the case were released by officials…
