Austin Deanda, James Willis to box in “farewell” fight September in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — 16 fights into his pro boxing career, Amherst County’s Austin Deanda is saying “farewell”.

No, “The Native Nightmare” is not retiring. Rather, he’s preparing for a huge step in his career.

Deanda and Roanoke’s James Willis are both on a card at Crosswhite Athletic Club on September 6th. Promoter and Deanda trainer Scott “Cujo” Sigmon says the card will serve as the final area fight for both, after the pair signed what Sigmon calls a “life-altering long-term deal”…
