Superintendent defends disciplinary actions following Franklin County senior prank chaos

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — School leaders in Franklin County are saying a senior prank by the Franklin County High School class of 2025 went south. More than a hundred kids, just days away from graduating, almost ended up not being allowed to walk across the stage.

The senior prank of TP’ing, placing yard signs and streamers at the school, quickly turned into disciplinary action, after Superintendent Dr. Kevin Siers said students went into unauthorized areas.

We still feel like there needs to be a consequence because it was a prank that got out of hand and went further than what was projected to go,” he said during a board meeting on Friday…
