ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — On Sunday, middle and high school students from the Roanoke Valley had the opportunity to speak directly to local leaders in a forum hosted by Total Action for Progress (TAP).
Panelists included Roanoke City mayor Joe Cobb, councilman Phazhon Nash, Sheriff Antonio Hash, and numerous community, business and school leaders.
“I am one person who thought Roanoke is full of adults who don’t want to hear our opinions and that doesn’t matter,” said Kamya Andrews, a sophomore at Patrick Henry High School. “To actually get to do these things, that means a lot to me.”…
