Person arrested after Bedford County police chase

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A person was arrested after a police chase Friday, June 13, according to the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office.

After receiving a “Be on the Lookout (BOL)” from Roanoke County Police regarding two vehicles connected to multiple break-ins, deputies from the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office found the vehicles of interest in the Montvale area and initiated a traffic stop, according to deputies.

Deputies say the driver of one of the vehicles stopped without incident. The driver of the other vehicle drove off, initiating a pursuit, according to deputies. During the pursuit, the driver continually operated the vehicle in a manner endangering the public, according to deputies. The driver was taken into custody after losing control of the vehicle.
