ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – The City of Roanoke is asking people who remember the Flood of 1985 to share their stories, pictures, and videos as part of a project to preserve as much as possible about an important moment in the city’s history.
November 4 of this year will mark the 40th anniversary of the Flood of 1985 that devastated Roanoke.
The city’s stormwater department is working on a three-part project ahead of the anniversary to ensure this history is never forgotten…
