ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Newly-released court documents are revealing more details about what led investigators to search the home of a woman reporting missing in Roanoke. That search ended with the discovery of the woman’s remains outside the house.
Roanoke Police took a report that Meagan Martin was last seen near her home on Downing St. NW on June 16.
Friends of Martin reported seeing blood on the floor and walls of the home when they went by, with one of them sending a photo of the blood to police, according to a search warrant obtained by WDBJ7.
The next day, two people reported finding bloody bedding in a trash can behind the home. The bedding “showed heavy saturated red stains,” investigators wrote in the warrant…
