BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – An invasive pest is becoming more prominent in our hometowns and causing problems for local vineyards. The number of Spotted Lanternflies across the region is on the rise.

Lanternflies can significantly damage grape plants by eating the vines and destroying the plants. The flies also feed on other plants and woody materials.
