Vacant home catches fire in the Bonsack area of Roanoke County

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke County Fire and Rescue responded to a residential fire at the 4800 block of Sidetrack Road in the Bonsack area on Wednesday, June 25 around 11:58 p.m.

When crews arrived, they found a one-story home with smoke and fire showing from the front side. However, the home was vacant at the time and no one will be displaced, officials say.

According to Roanoke County Fire and Rescue, crews depended on tanker truck to bring water to the scene from a nearby creek to fight the flames.
