Search warrant leads to narcotics and weapons seizure in Boones Mill

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Special Investigations Division of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT), executed a search warrant at a residence on Paradise Acres Drive in Boones Mill. The operation was the result of a multi-month investigation involving illegal narcotics and firearms activity.

Upon entering the residence, deputies detained two individuals:

  • Antonio Luis Marchese, 36, of Boones Mill
  • Michael Anthony Carswell, 36, of Roanoke

A thorough search of the property resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of illegal narcotics, multiple firearms, stolen property, drug paraphernalia, and over $6,000 in U.S. currency.

The following charges were filed:

  • Antonio Luis Marchese was arrested and charged with one felony count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He is currently being held without bond.
  • Michael Anthony Carswell was arrested and charged with one felony count of Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance. He was released on a secured bond.
