On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Special Investigations Division of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT), executed a search warrant at a residence on Paradise Acres Drive in Boones Mill. The operation was the result of a multi-month investigation involving illegal narcotics and firearms activity.
Upon entering the residence, deputies detained two individuals:
- Antonio Luis Marchese, 36, of Boones Mill
- Michael Anthony Carswell, 36, of Roanoke
A thorough search of the property resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of illegal narcotics, multiple firearms, stolen property, drug paraphernalia, and over $6,000 in U.S. currency.
The following charges were filed:
- Antonio Luis Marchese was arrested and charged with one felony count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He is currently being held without bond.
- Michael Anthony Carswell was arrested and charged with one felony count of Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance. He was released on a secured bond.
