(WFXR) — High pressure moving overhead today will keep dry weather in place with high temperatures near average in the low-to-mid 80s in the mountains to the upper 80s near 90 east of the Blue Ridge. A few more clouds and a stray shower will be possible in the Highlands. Elsewhere, expect plenty of sunshine for your 4th of July with great evening weather for firework displays.
Similar conditions persist into Saturday with highs in the 80s to near 90 along with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.
