Roanoke Sheriff’s Office opens resource center to help former inmates reenter community

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – The Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office is launching a new initiative aimed at giving formerly incarcerated individuals a second chance.

Wednesday, city leaders and community partners gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Unified Reintegration Resource Center, a one-stop hub designed to support reentry efforts in the region.

After months of planning and community collaboration, the center officially opened its doors at 301 Campbell Avenue SW, just steps from the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office…
