Local organizations are helping students this tax-free holiday

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia’s tax-free holiday starts August 1st, just in time for the new school year. It’s aimed to ease the cost of school supplies for families, and many organizations want to help out.

Both United Way and the Salvation Army of Roanoke are out this weekend collecting supplies for students across the valley.
