BOTETOURT, Va. (WFXR) – Officials with Botetourt Fire and EMS say a team effort helped repair a road, reconnecting dozens of homes that had been cut off for several days.
According to officials, a 25-foot span of the roadway was gone when crews responded to a call on the day of the storm, Thursday, July 31.
Thirty homes were cut off due to the damage. Crews went door-to-door at the impacted homes, offering people who lived there the chance to stay somewhere else for a while – Botetourt Fire and EMS officials say no one took them up on it that night…
