Flooding hits Roanoke Valley

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A Flash Flood Emergency expired Thuirsday night, but the National Weather Service had other flood warnings in place into Friday after severe flooding hit the Roanoke area.

There were multiple reports of water on roads in northwest Roanoke, including Peters Creek Road. Much of the water has receded, but drivers are urged to watch for standing water throughout the Roanoke Valley into Friday.
