BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. – Job seekers across the region will have a chance to connect face-to-face with dozens of employers on Friday at the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce’s Fall Job Fair. More than 30 companies, ranging from healthcare to construction, will be on site, with some prepared to hire on the spot.
The event comes as Bedford County’s unemployment rate has climbed to nearly 4% in June. While that figure remains among the lowest in Virginia, business leaders say employers are still struggling to find enough skilled workers. To help bridge the gap, the Chamber is bringing back its Fall job fair for the first time since 2019, in addition to its annual spring event.
