ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – The average price for a gallon of gasoline has increased to 5.7 cents per gallon in the last week, according to Gasbuddy.com’s survey of 155 stations in Roanoke.
Gasoline prices in Roanoke are 4.7 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 22.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel is down 2 cents per gallon than a week ago and stands at $3.65 per gallon.
The most affordable station in Roanoke was priced at $2.59 per gallon on Sunday, August 24, and the most expensive was at $3.29 per gallon, the difference being 70 cents per gallon. The lowest priced gasoline available in the commonwealth on August 24 was $2.59 per gallon while the highest was $3.99 per gallon, a difference of $1.40 per gallon, according to Gasbuddy…
