- Limited rain chances
- Late-week lows in the 40s
- Extended dry stretch
A bubble of high pressure building behind this weeks cold front will keep us cool, and dry for the remainder of the week.
Highs run up to 5-10° below average, generally mid-60s in the highlands to mid/upper-70s along/east of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
At night, most will see the 50s, with a few in the 40s further out toward the west. The coolest air will reside in the sheltered valleys and higher ridge tops north of 460. The last time Roanoke had August lows in the 40s was in 1999!
This type of weather is ideal for outdoor activities like having a campfire!
The coolest morning will likely be Thursday as temperatures dip to the mid-upper 40s in the rural areas, to low 50s east of the Blue Ridge.
RAIN CHANCES: The week remains very dry with rainfall nearly nonexistent…
