Roanoke, Va. (WFXR)- Angels of Assisi rescued 14 dogs from McDowell County, West Virginia that were apparently abandoned on the side of the road.
Members of the animal shelter commended McDowell County residents for their help in gathering up the animals, after one was hit by a vehicle.

The animals will be seen by the agency’s veterinary team on Saturday, August 30.
