Update: Victim identified in Roanoke three-vehicle crash

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)- Police in Roanoke have identified a man killed in a multi-vehicle crash over the weekend.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, in the 2100 block of Williamson Road NE. Police said the driver and sole occupant of an Oldsmobile Alero was traveling north “at a high rate of speed when it crossed the double yellow and struck the rear of a Street Glide Harley motorcycle. The Alero then turned sideways and was struck in the passenger side by a Chevy Silverado.”

The driver and passenger on the motorcycle were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Six people in the pickup were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
