BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Botetourt County is expected to welcome over 20,000 people over the next two weekends for the 10th annual Beaverdam Farm Sunflower Festival. The fields provide not only the perfect photo backdrop with over 700,000 flowers, but there will be over 120 local vendors selling everything from crafts to food.
“It’s nice to just have this event that the community can come out to and see nature and see a working farm, and just relax for a little bit and have a good time,” Candace Monaghan, the founder of the festival, said.
Thursday night, the farm took to Facebook after a storm caused severe damage to some of the vendors’ tents and products. The festival will still open on time, but the vendors need your support now more than ever…
