Officials: Cave Spring home sustains $200,000 damage in fire

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)- A weekend residential fire in the Cave Spring area of Roanoke County caused $200,000 in damage to an unoccupied home, according to the county Fire Marshal’s Office.

Firefighters with Roanoke Fire and Rescue responded to the fire Saturday, September 6 in the 5900 block of Garner Road. Units arrived on scene at 4:35 p.m.

Officials said the fire was contained to a wood frame structure of the home. It took less than ten minutes to get it under control.
