ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Williamson Road is a busy stretch that goes from Downtown Roanoke to Botetourt County, and it has a reputation for being a dangerous place to drive.
“It certainly has a high crash volume,” Roanoke City Public Works Director Ross Campbell said. “As we look at data, it’s one of the most dangerous streets per volume in the state of Virginia.”
The city hopes to change that with the Envision Williamson Road project, which has a goal to make the area a more inviting place for people and businesses…
