Red Cross honors deputies’ for quick thinking and heroic life-saving acts

COVINGTON, Va. (WFXR) – The American Red Cross has recognized three deputies from the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office and Regional Jail for their life-saving actions at two separate incidents.

On Thursday, September 18, Deputies Wayne Myers, Travis Mullins, and Robbie Dudley were recognized at the Roanoke Country Club at the American Red Cross Life Saving Awards Ceremony.

“These deputies’ heroism serves as an inspiration to us all,” said Major Ray Keen. “We are incredibly proud to have them as part of the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office and Regional Jail team. Their selfless dedication truly makes a difference in the lives of those they serve.”
