Donnie D’s Bagels and Deli ready to reopen Roanoke location months after fire

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The doors are open, and the bagels are back Saturday at Donnie D’s Bagels and Deli in Roanoke.

“I’m rejuvenated in the sense that [Saturday] morning, maybe even later [Friday] evening, we’ll have fresh bagels for the first time since May 23,” said owner Donnie DeGeorgis.

A fire back in May left the inside of the store heavily damaged and destroyed the bagel machine, forcing the Roanoke location to close and bagels to be taken off the menu at the restaurant’s Daleville location too…
