ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Snallygaster, a mythical beast of Appalachian folklore that reportedly even prompted Theodore Roosevelt to consider hunting it himself, is the cryptid of the week!
Appalachia’s Snallygaster is the result of a long history of our cultural groups bringing their stories to the area, and therefore can be described physically in many different ways.
