Go Outside Festival wraps up 15th year in downtown Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – The Anthem Go Outside Festival concluded its 15th year this weekend, drawing thousands to downtown Roanoke’s Elmwood Park for outdoor adventure activities, live performances, and educational demonstrations aimed at celebrating the region’s natural amenities and boosting fall tourism.

Kait Pedigo, events manager for the Go Outside Foundation, said the festival has evolved significantly over the years.

“People have been loving it. I think people are really amazed at how we’ve grown into this location and how fine-tuning it all has gotten us super comfortable,” Pedigo said. “Everywhere you look there’s something new and something exciting to try or watch, and it’s just been a really, really positive atmosphere.”…
