The Roanoke Regional Heart Walk returns to raise funds for heart disease & strokes

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The American Heart Association will be hosting the 2025 Roanoke Regional Heart Walk on Saturday. The event is aimed at raising funds to fight heart disease and stroke, which are the leading causes of death in the U.S.

The walk will take place on October 25 at River’s Edge Park, starting at 9 a.m. with festivities before the walk at 10 a.m. There will be live music, family-friendly activities, including a kid zone, the annual Pup Parade, and more.

It is co-chaired by Melanie Fitzgerald and Kimberly Wilburn, both of whom are affiliated with the New River Electrical Corporation. The Roanoke Regional Heart Walk is to highlight the mission of the American Heart Association to advance hope and health for everyone…
