ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The City of Roanoke is bringing back the Snowplow Naming Contest for its second year!
Roanoke officials say they’re already prepping for the upcoming winter and need help naming 20 snowplows this year.
“Last year’s contest was a fun and enjoyable way for the community to connect with ourwork,” said Roanoke Fleet Manager Wayne Farley. “Winter operations are serious business,but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun while getting ready for the season.”
Last year’s winning names were Austin Plowers, Clearopathra, Control Salt Delete, Han Snolow,Plow Chick A Plow Wow, Plower Ranger, Plowy McPlowface, Sir Plows-A-Lot, Sled Zeppelin,Sleetwood Mac, and The Big LePlowski. The City of Roanoke notes that these names will not be eligible to win again this year…
